On my fourth week with the KeyMouse now, and although my familiarity with it has improved considerably, I still find myself needing to look at the keys, especially when my hand placement shifts off due to some complicated multi-key operation. My pinky fingers are the most troublesome in general, because if I don't look, I have a hard time telling which button will I hit.
To help me with this issue, I made some "custom" tactile bumps on the keys using clear tape and it has helped immensely without getting in the way whatsoever. Basically, I layered clear tape on top of itself 5-6 times so as to create a thick enough strip of tape, and cut it into thin strips of about 5mm by 20mm. I applied the tape horizontally to the bottom part of the shift keys on each side, then diagonally on the upper-right and lower-left corners of the ";" and "/" keys of the right KeyMouse, respectively, In symmetrical fashion, I applied strips diagonally to the top-left and bottom-right corners of the "A" and "Z" keys of the left KeyMouse, respectively.
The resulting bumps are high enough for my pinkies to recognize them easily, but not as high as to cause an impediment in any way. Since then, they have helped me tremendously with accuracy, so I thought you guys might benefit from something of the sort.

Track or Alpha?
With the Track, I eliminated all the keys (actually took them off the keyboard) that I had to move out of "home row position" to reach. That helped a lot. (I had to design a new layout, of course.)
