Scroll wheel blue layer stops working

Yes that is correct with firmware 1.1 flashed to both units.

Could you make a quick video of what you are doing when the trackball stops working? We are trying to reproduce this error on our end and haven't been able to.

Just received my KeyMouse Track and have the similar issue with scrolling using track ball. Upgraded to the latest 3.12 and 2.2 firmware does not solve the problem.

In my case I want to reverse the scroll direction, switched Scroll Up and Scroll Down the Blue and save to devices. It did a little bit of scrolling and then frozen, no more up and down. Even when I revert the direction back to default and save it again it still would not work. Take an unplug and plug again for scrolling to work again in default mode. Seemed like firmware scrolling code got stuck on something.

I also tried this on a base and red layer with same issue. Never did get the reverse direction to work on any layer.

Also can we adjust the scrolling speed? Seems a bit fast for me.

@cb Just curious, do you have a powered USB hub to test this on? We've had some cases where the devices act weird if the USB port isn't putting out enough juice. Just worth a try. We'll test on our end as well.

Also, CB we will work on giving you the ability to adjust the speed. The firmware is capable, we just need to add it to the software UI.

@cb Also, when scrolling froze, did everything else on the KeyMouse devices work fine such as the mouse & keyboard?

When the scrolling froze keyboard and mouse seemed to continue to work , although I didn't test it in that mode for very long since I can't work without a working scrolling.

Will have to find a powered USB hub to test with.

I recently purchased the latest KeyMouse Track and am having the same issue.

I have the right hand trackball on the default layer set up to scroll. After having worked for a while, the scroll stops working. If I unplug the right hand device and plug it back in, scroll comes back.

I can still scroll on the left device if I hold the yellow layer button.

I am on macOS Monterey 12.1. The KeyMouse Track is plugged directly into the computer.

We just uploaded version 3.13 beta (which has firmware version 2.3 beta).
Please try it to see if it solves the scroll getting stuck issue for you. You will need to update firmware on both hands.

Hi Herber, been testing the 2.3 beta firmware for a day or so and it did not freeze on scrolling. I even had the scroll direction setup in the reverse direction and it worked fine.

Thanks for the quick fix. Looking forward to setting scroll speed.
